When I am not trading stocks I write, translate, design<\/a>, and occasionally run a marathon<\/a>. Based in Riverside, California, I am what would be considered an intermediate stock investor in that I do more than just buy and hold regular securities (stocks, bonds, etc.) I mostly buy stocks for the long term (holding stocks over one year), but I have been also been known to pull a few swing trades (holding stocks less than a year)\u00a0and play a few options (calls, puts, shorting).<\/p>\n

This website will be dedicated to the ramblings of me trying to make money. The point of this site is just to provide different ways and ideas of how to make money. I personally believe there are lots of ways to make money. You just need to do some research, find out what works out for you, and then do it.<\/p>\n

Right now I have four ways I make money.<\/p>\n

First is my regular day job. I make good money at a very great job. Due to the sensitive nature of my job I will not be writing too much about it (but with a little bit of searching through google you can probably figure it out).<\/p>\n

The second form of income I have is my personal business. I am the sole proprietor of John Pedroza’s Mobile Documentation Services<\/a>. Not a big business but I have a lot of fun with it. If you need a website, documents prepared, or some English\/Spanish translation please contact me.<\/p>\n

The third way I make money is through my e-bay store. I like using stuff, but I also like getting rid of stuff. There is only so much stuff one person can use so why not recycle it for a few\u00a0dollars,\u00a0right? \u00a0If you want to buy my stuff please click HERE<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The fourth and last way I currently make money is from stocks. I have had a 403b (a type of 401K account) for many years, but in 2011 I took an extra $200 dollars I had and invested in three stocks ($F, $FORD, and $CAMP). In the beginning I just lost money, but starting in 2013 I have started to make significant profits (enough so that now taxes are really confusing). Stock trading is fun, but it is definitely a roller coaster ride.<\/p>\n

Stock Trading Philosophy<\/h4>\n

One of the great things about stocks is there are plenty of ways to play them. Notice I said play, not buy. Buying a stock is just one way of making money off a stock. One of the strangest things I have found about stocks are that you can make money on them regardless of their status. It doesn’t matter if the stock is going up, down, or staying at the same level; there is money to be made. The key is to learn the game and like a football game have a full playbook. Many traders will use only one strategy (momentum, technical, fundamentals, etc.)\u00a0for playing stocks. They are all great strategies, but only in the right moment. Research the stock, be aware of the environment, and execute. Do that and you will often find yourself at the goal line.<\/p>\n
