So, obviously, AJ is pulling himself up now. He’s been doing it for a couple of weeks or so. (And also, obviously, I had some exposure issues with the camera!) He’s not yet “”cruising”” very well, that is walking, holding on to furniture. He will walk along the side of our bed, for a step or two, tummy to the bed. He’s nowhere near walking with only one hand for balance.
AJ has also discovered a new favorite food, apple cores!! Applesauce is nothing new, but this was AJ’s first experience with “”real”” apples. Saturday morning when I was eating an apple, he was reaching for it. So, when I was done, I handed him the core. He gnawed on it for quite a while (like 10 minutes–an eternity in baby time). I had already thrown the apple core away before I thought to take a picture, so I handed him an apple slice. He gnawed for a minute or two, long enough for the pictures, but he was not nearly as interested in the slice as he was in the nice round core. Here are the results of our photo shoot, where you can also see him reaching for me

(Note: this entry was actually created the morning we went to the Graber Olive house, but I didn’t quite finish before we left. Then the pictures disapeared into the depth of the computer. Now I’ve recovered the photos, and abbra-ca-dabra… my blog entry.)
