And the Rain Just Kept Coming Down…

We had the snow and now we have the rain. It has been raining pretty hard for the last 24 hours. The result has been that our build-up area under the house and our bathroom have turned into a little river. I have two pumps right now pumping out the water as fast they can. I have also discovered a few more leaks in our roof. We really need to fix them, but there is no money for that right now. Such is life I suppose. I called the mortgage company to see if they could help me out with a construction loan, but they said I don’t make enough money. I asked them if I could have a home modification and then they told me I have too much money. It was at that point that I said “Thank You” and hung-up. If this house falls apart I might have to walk away from it, but the mortgage company can’t say I didn’t try.

  1. I feel gad about the rain and the leaks, not the trips…sorry that got put in the wrong place somehow. The tripfilm was cute. You always choose the right music as background.

  2. It’s ok. I understood. Thank you for the comment. You will be happy to know the rain stopped this afternoon and we were able to drain out the rest of the water. I think I am going to need to look into putting a french drain in the backyard and hope that helps.

  3. Beaunos Nachos,
Found you website via hobotraveler.com Looks kinda childish on the surface. but ok once you read it. but don’t think people will get that far. Put likes to video rather than using them to fill the page. good luck

  4. Hello, and thank you for the comment and constructive criticism. I am always looking for new ideas. Compared to the hobotraveler I am really a newbie. One day I would love to be that well traveled (wouldn’t we all). Unfortunately, like all things in life you have to start out small and grow (I am pretty much learning as I go). Anyhow, thanks again for visiting and keep those comments and suggestions coming.

  5. I actually like it when videos are posted directly on the page and I don’t have to click somewhere else to see the video. A lot of major sites use this format (see, e.g., http://www.joystiq.com). If the post is going to be really long you can post the first part and put a link to the rest of it. But in my opinion videos really don’t need to be on their own page otherwise.
